What it's about
Most of us never learned to consciously feel. So instead we suppress, numb out, intellectualize, dissociate, avoid. We bottle up our feelings, twist them into emotional knots, and only express them once it's too late.
Whether because we were shamed by other children for having feelings, punished by adults, or just never really understood what to do, to some degree we learned to shut down our hearts. And still today, we can subtly feel the ripple effects: laughing when we want to cry, joking to avoid sadness, masking our fear with anger.
In this Lifeshop taught by Hannah Hirsh, we will learn to distinguish and navigate between the four core feelings: Anger, Sadness, Fear, and Joy. We'll learn how each of these emotions are actually useful, get clarity on what matters to us, and leave with a stronger sense of how to feel our feelings.
